Bridge-type Monitoring Electrodes

Bridge-type monitoring electrodes combine the adhesion required for continuous cardiac monitoring with the ease of removal provided by the grip tab. Particularly suitable for hospital wards where electrodes may need to be replaced occasionally during care or examinations, they help improve the efficiency of healthcare teams whilst maintaining patient comfort and skin integrity.

Atraumatic removal in a hospital setting

In intensive care and continuous monitoring units, frail patients may require electrode changes during hygiene care or additional investigations. Repeated removal of conventional adhesive electrodes can cause skin irritation. The grip tab allows for controlled and more comfortable removal, limiting mechanical stress on the skin and improving tolerance to monitoring over time.

Adhesion and conductivity suited to continuous monitoring

The loop-style monitoring electrodes incorporate conductive hydrogel formulations designed to ensure reliable conductivity and prolonged adhesion during cardiac monitoring. The peripheral adhesive is selected to withstand commonly used skin disinfectants as well as perspiration, whilst the rounded edges minimise the risk of lifting when the patient moves.
