Snap-On ECG Electrodes – Standard Snap

Snap-on ECG electrodes are the most widely used solution for performing 12-lead ECGs in doctors’ surgeries and healthcare facilities. Their standardised circular metal connector allows for a quick and secure connection to the patient ECG cable leads, with broad compatibility with the majority of professional ECG systems.

Technology and features of snap electrodes

The snap-on electrode consists of a foam or non-woven backing, an integrated conductive hydrogel and a peripheral adhesive ensuring secure attachment to the skin. The metal button, usually made of silver or treated stainless steel, ensures low contact resistance for reliable ECG signal transmission. These snap electrodes are available with different hydrogel formulations, suitable for resting ECG examinations, Holter recordings and monitoring applications.
