ECG Electrodes with Loop - Easy Removal

ECG electrodes with a loop provide an alternative to snap-on electrodes thanks to their integrated grip tab, designed to make removal easier after the examination. This loop allows the electrode to be removed by grasping it cleanly, without applying direct traction to the patient’s skin – an advantage particularly appreciated in geriatric care and for patients with fragile skin.

Clinical benefits of the grip tab

The grip tab improves patient comfort when removing the electrodes, particularly in elderly patients, those on anticoagulants or those with fragile skin. Removal is more controlled and less uncomfortable, which promotes acceptance of the examination and reduces post-ECG irritation. For the clinician, this system allows for quick and clean removal of the electrodes, optimising the workflow in the clinic.

Connectors, formulations and compatibility

Bridge-type ECG electrodes are available with different connection systems depending on the model, including standard press-studs or direct connection to the ECG cable. They are available in formulations suitable for short-term examinations such as resting ECGs, as well as in long-wear versions for certain monitoring applications.
