Replacement Cuffs for ABPM Holter Monitors

The blood pressure Holter cuff is the most critical consumable in your ABPM system. Its size must correspond exactly to the patient’s upper arm circumference to ensure measurement accuracy, and its condition determines the reliability of the recording. A worn or punctured cuff produces erratic readings that compromise the diagnostic value of the test. CardioDépôt offers replacement cuffs in all sizes for all professional ABPM systems.

Sizing the ABPM cuff

Recommendations from hypertension societies specify that the inflatable cuff of the ABPM cuff must be long enough to cover 80% of the upper arm circumference and wide enough to represent 40% of this circumference. A cuff that is too narrow overestimates blood pressure, whilst a cuff that is too wide underestimates it. Our cuffs are available in small adult (22–32 cm), standard adult (25–35 cm), large adult (32–42 cm) and obese (38–50 cm) sizes.

Durability and hygiene of cuffs

The lifespan of an ABPM cuff depends on the frequency of use and the care taken in its maintenance. Our durable nylon cuffs can withstand several hundred inflation cycles without losing their airtight seal. Hand washing with soapy water is recommended. The consistent use of disposable cuff covers significantly extends the lifespan and ensures hygiene between patients.
